Daniel & Erin Maternity Session
Posted by Janchai at 1:39 AM 0 commentsWhen Daniel & Erin asked me to capture this special time in their life, I was so excited and nervous too. But the session turned out great.
Daniel & Erin were so easy to shoot. Erin is so energetic and full of life. Her smile definitely lights up a room.

It worked out great though; the house is older and has a really cool vintage vibe.

Daniel was so fun! He and Erin are a great match. He has a sense of humor that complements Erin's vivacious spirit so well; he kept us all laughing.

The baby's name is Max, and they are expecting him on or around Valentine's Day. What an amazing Valentine's Day gift!

Congrats, Daniel & Erin!

A Blind Man And His Shoes
Posted by Janchai at 2:33 AM 0 commentsThere once was a blind man that, though his sight was fine, could not see
That the shoes he had, though old and worn, were faithful as can be
In spite of over-use and unfair misuse, they remained true
To weather the storms of life and risky terrains that were new
In the good times, the shoes were then -discarded and upgraded
For new shoes, presumably better and that could be afforded
Treated like movie stars despite their many mixed reviews
The blind man more blinded, to the limitations of his new shoes
In the tough times, these shoes faded to show their true colors
Disguised– to be major successes, designed– to be failures
And so, the new shoes fell apart, when they were most needed
The blind man, blinded to warning labels, that should have been heeded
Turning back to his old shoes that stood the test of time
Though his treatment of them was nothing short of a crime
These reliable old shoes that are rarely given the chance to shine
For a man who cannot see their worth, will always walk a fine line
